SNB's Maechler: Prospects for global economy look good

Swiss National Bank (SNB) governing board member Andrea Maechler said on Tuesday that she sees robust GDP growth for Switzerland in 2021, per LiveSquawk.

Maechler further noted that prospects for the global economy look good. Earlier in the day, the data published by the SNB showed that the bank held CHF929.29 billion ($1.02 trillion) in foreign currency at the end of August, up from CHF922.38 in July. 

Market reaction

These comments don't seem to be having a noticeable impact on the CHF's performance against its major rivals. As of writing, the USD/CHF pair was trading at 0.9144, where it was down only 0.04% on a daily basis.
