Wall Street opens in green ahead of FOMC minutes

Major equity indexes in the United States started the day with small gains as investors are moving to the sidelines before the FOMC releases the minutes of its last meeting later in the session. As of writing, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.05% on the day while the Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 were both adding 0.2%.

Among the 11 major S&P 500 sectors, Utilities and Real Estate lead the gains as safer alternatives while Energy rises 0.5% supported by rallying crude oil prices. On the other hand, falling T-bond yields seem to be weighing on the rate-sensitive Financials, which sits in the negative territory in the early trade.
