US stocks fell for the fifth day amid risk aversion
FXStreet (San Francisco) - US stocks bounced off session lows but still ended with losses on Tuesday. Investors are cautious amid fears over Greece and weak oil prices ahead of Non farm payrolls on Friday.
All sectors finished Tuesday down for the day. Energy (-1.54%) was the worst sector as shares was pressured down by weak oil prices. The WTI fell to 47.55 before closing at 47.95.
Financials shares declined 1.36% on the day while Technology sector was 1.28% down. Small caps in the figure of the Russell 2000 lost 1.70% to finish the day at 1,161.31.
