US weekly jobless claims fall by 17k, to 297k

FXStreet (London) - US weekly jobless claims fell by 17k to 297k, close to consensus expectations of a drop to 295k.

The previous week’s claims were upward revised to 314k from 313k.

The largest increases in claims came from California – up 19,173. The biggest decrease came from Montana, down 1,182.
